About Pack 164

Pack 164 runs a year-round program filled with activities. While we don’t expect every scout to attend every function, we do encourage all scouts (and their families) to be as active as possible. Boys and girls are expected to attend all den meetings, and the entire family is invited to attend the pack meetings and outings. Note that Tiger Cubs attend all functions with their adult partner.
To keep parents informed about events, Pack 164 operates this website and an e-mail mailing list.  If you are not receiving Pack 164 emails (monthly newsletters, event reminders, etc.), please contact our Committee Chair, Sarah.

Pack Meetings

The core of the Pack 164 program is the monthly Pack Meeting. Each Pack Meeting includes activities centered around a monthly theme, and the boys and girls may also focus on this theme in their Den Meetings. The Pack Meeting provides an opportunity to recognize the advancement and achievements of the scouts, their parents, and their leaders. The pack meeting also gives boys and girls a chance to demonstrate the skills they have learned and show off projects that they have completed in their dens.

Fundraising

While Pack 164 charges an annual registration fee, that fee primarily covers the cost of registering your son/daughter with the Boy Scouts of America, unit insurance, an annual subscription to Boys’ Life, and leader training. To help pay for awards, den supplies, Pinewood Derby kits, and pack activities, Pack 164 conducts annual fundraisers in the Fall and Spring.
